How do I earn Coins?

Adult mermaids that are happy will generate coins for you, and you can collect coins by clicking on the Treasure chest. Sleeping mermaids and mermaid in your Singing Realm will not generate coins.

When your coin chest is full, it will show a 'Collect' button over it. To collect your coins early, tap on the chest and then tap on "Collect" to get your coins!

How do I get more Pearls?

When you start playing you will receive some Pearls to get you started, and you can earn more by levelling up.
You can also purchase Pearls, and they can be sent to you by a friend, as a gift.

How do I level up?

Your level is determined by how much XP (Experience Points) you have. You can earn more XP in the game by Singing for new Mermaids, building props and completing quests.

How do I Sing for a New Mermaid?

First swipe your screen so you can view the Realm to the left of your starter Realm. This is your Singing Realm.
Then, tap the sing button to enter the menu, where you select two mermaids you would like to sing, and follow the onscreen prompts!

How do I decorate my Realm?

To decorate in the Realm, tap on Store and then on Decorations, or on Idols, to see items you can buy to decorate your Realm, like plants and props. This way you can make a truly unique Realm for your mermaid!

To make an item larger or smaller, tap on it and then use the plus and minus symbols to adjust the size.

How do I move items in my Realm?

To move an item like an idol or coral, hold your finger on the item, and then you can move it around in the Realm.

How can I know more about a mermaid I’m buying?

In the Store, if you tap on Baby mermaid, you are given a list of mermaid you can purchase. If you tap on a mermaid, you can see a few interesting facts about the mermaid, such as what your mermaid Needs, what your mermaid Likes and what your mermaid Dislikes.
It will also show what type of mermaid it is, what it's traits are - and how many coins it generates.

How do I move a mermaid or item to another Realm?

If you tap on a mermaid or item you  will have a “Move” button, if you tap on this you can select which Realm you wish to place your mermaid in.

How can I adjust settings for the game?

By tapping on the cog/settings icon in the top right corner of the game, you can adjust a few options for the game, such as your audio settings and notification options. You can also find our social options here! Such as emailing support, or finding us on Facebook, Twitter, and getting to our forums to meet other fans!

How do I purchase more space for my mermaid?

If you tap on Store, and then on Realms, you can purchase more Realms to add mermaid to. Note the price will increase with each Realm purchase you make. Extra Realms can be purchased as you level up, or  can be purchased early using Pearls.

How do I change between Realms?

Swipe left or right to move between Realms, as though you’re flicking through the pages of a book. 

How can I make a mermaid happy?

Mermaids can be be made happier by ensuring you add items or mermaid they like, and don't put them in a Realm with mermaids they dislike! If you tap on a mermaid, and then tap on "Profile", you can see what that mermaid likes. Often it might like a certain prop and a certain type of mermaid, but it might dislike a certain type of mermaid too! To make a mermaid ecstatic, make sure all it's Likes are fulfilled, and it's Dislike is not :)

How do I send mermaid on treasure hunts?

To send a mermaid on a treasure hunt, tap on the mermaid and then tap on the "Explore" option. With that option, your mermaid can go on a treasure hunt for you and find props, toys, and sometimes even pearls!

How do I increase the star rating of my Realm?

Each Realm has a star rating in the top right hand corner of the game, based on what is in that Realm. Tap on the stars to see the details of that Realm. To increase it's rating, ensure you check the left side which shows the requirements. Fill up your Realm with nice props to increase the decor rating, and make your mermaids happier and even ecstatic, to increase the rating. To get a 3-star Realm, your mermaids must be ecstatic! :)

How do I get a particular mermaid by Singing?

You can sing two different mermaid together to get a new mermaid type. Each mermaid has several personality traits. If you mix and match other mermaid, you can get a surprise mermaid based on those traits!

- Tap on the "FREE!" pearl icon on the left side of the screen
- Tap on Facebook Login
- Here, log in to Facebook
- You're all set!

How to see my friends and invite them?

- Tap on Friends to see a list of your Facebook friends
- Any friends that play Mermaid World and linked their accounts will show at the top of the list, and you can visit them or send them a gift
- If a friend doesn't play Mermaid World yet, you can invite them!

How do I add a new friend?

- To add a new friend, such as one of the other lovely Mermaid World fans from this forum, just add each other on Facebook! 
If you both linked your game with your Facebook account, and become friends on Facebook, you will automatically see each other in the game Friends list!
